@GonzagaLacrosse Enjoys Texas, Jesuit Brotherhood

Gonzaga Lacrosse had a wonderful time in the great state of Texas during spring break. The highlight of the trip was a presentation from the parents of the late Welles Crowther, a former lacrosse player at Boston College who became a firefighter in New York City and died on 9/11 . Welles wore #19, and this was the 19th Jesuit Lacrosse Classic, which was dedicated to his memory.  Click here to see an ESPN video about his sacrifice and legacy.

The varsity Eagles split the two games they played – falling to St. Ignatius 11-10 and defeating Dallas Jesuit 13-9.  The team celebrated a beautiful mass with both schools and enjoyed incredible Texas food throughout the trip.  The team also had a great time at Top Golf and got in plenty of practice to get ready for the bulk of their season. Gonzaga starts the season ranked #2 in the Washington Post and is taking on #3 Bullis on Friday, March 24 in Potomac at 7pm and Ireton on Saturday, March 25.

{UPDATE – RESULTS}

Varsity Lacrosse lost to Bullis 7-3

Varsity Lacrosse defeated Ireton 20-2
