@GonzagaRugby Bounces Back – Will Face #1 Ranked Ft. Hunt (Club) on Buchanan

The varsity purple rugby Eagles bounced back on March 4 with an excellent win, 47-7, over a tough Downingtown team. Coach Baggetta’s Eagles were without 9 players for various reasons. The varsity black rugby Eagles also defeated Dowingtown 44-0 on March 4 but fell to the Maryland Exiles 45-26 on March 5.

On Saturday, March 11, the varsity purple hosts the country’s current Number One ranked club team, the Ft. Hunt Warriors, from Fairfax County, VA at 2pm on Buchanan Field. This match promises to be an exciting and intense game.

Here is the schedule for Sunday, March 12:
10:30am JV Rugby vs Jesuit New Orleans on Buchanan Field
2:30pm Varsity Black Rugby vs Jesuit New Orleans on Buchanan
4:00pm Varsity Purple Rugby vs West Shore on Buchanan

The match against Jesuit New Orleans also serves as an opportunity for Jesuit schools fellowship: The out-of-towners will stay in the homes of Gonzaga families Saturday night.
