@GonzagaHoops Eagles Fly High to DC Classic Title

Competing against teams and talent from across the area and the nation, Gonzaga’s varsity basketball team won the 28th Annual DC Classic tournament in dominating fashion.  Jim Larranaga, University of Miami Head Coach, was the key-note speaker at the annual breakfast on Saturday, December 10.  All of the teams were in attendance to hear Coach L’s message.  The former George Mason head coach (13 consecutive winning seasons including a Final Four appearance in 2006) talked about the brotherhood and the bonds great teams create–and the ability to leave it all on the floor, not just in games but in practice as well. On Mason’s Final Four run in 2006, Coach L spoke about the importance of leaders trusting in each other in tough times.
