@Gonzaga_Hockey1 Tops O’Connell, Ranked #2 – Ready for Purple Puck

In a big league match-up on December 13, the V1 Gonzaga Eagles defeated the #5 ranked O’Connell Knights 5-2.  In an away game where the opponent was geared up to give Gonzaga its best shot, Coach Slater’s team controlled the game from start to finish.  Here were the scoring updates from the game:

  • Eagles Connor Tait starts the Eagles off 1-0 v O’Connell 
  • Eagles go up 2-0 v O’Connell – Will Jerry finds the back of the net. Unassisted.
  • Eagles Captain John Cardellicchio makes it 3-0 
  • Midway thru the 2nd O’Connell gets one thru the posts | Eagles lead 3-1
  • Putting the combo together again Cole Vallese to Connor Tait to go up 4-1 
  • Eagles make it 5-2 with empty netter from Ian Kilcullen
