Happy Sunday to all!  Yesterday was one to remember on Buchanan Field and on Eye Street.Coach T’s Eagles soundly defeated Coach Milloy’s Falcons on Senior Day, Gonzaga 31 Good Counsel 7.  For the first time ever, the Washington Post streamed a sporting event live on Facebook.

Gonzaga jumped out to a 14-0 lead with two touchdowns in the first quarter. Good Counsel got on the board early in the second. However, the Eagles scored again before halftime to take a 20-7 lead into the break.  Click the image above to watch the full livestream broadcast of the first half.

Gonzaga came out strong in the second half in all three phases.  The defense held Good Counsel to no points.  The special teams converted a field goal, caused a turnover, and downed a punt inside the 5 yard line.
