@GonzagaSoccer Finishes Regular Season Strong, Ready for WCAC Playoffs

The Eagles completed the regular season with a 6-2-1 record in league play.  The most recent victories came at PVI, Carroll on Senior Day, at McNamara, and vs Ireton – with the lone loss coming to O’Connell.  Here are the recaps from each game:

10/13
In their first night game of the season, the Varsity Eagles managed a dramatic win against Paul VI, 2-0. The go-ahead goal was scored by junior Rex Minturn, unassisted, while the goal that sealed it was scored by senior Edwin Ramirez and assisted by junior Austin Smith. ht game of the season, the Varsity Eagles managed a dramatic win against Paul VI, 2-0. 10/17
The Varsity defeated the Carroll Lions today, on Senior Day. Thank you to all the parents who helped organize the soiree after the match.

10/18
The Varsity defeated McNamara today 2-0. Goals were scored by Seniors Devin Stanton and Brady McGowan. Sophomore Gonzalo Bartolo-Piniero recorded another shutout behind a steady defense lead by Junior Peter Dernelle.

10/23
The Varsity lost to O’Connell on Friday 2-1.

10/26
The Varsity defeated Bishop Ireton today 1-0 on a penalty kick scored by Junior Ryan Teuschl. They finished with a conference record of 6-2-1. WCAC Quarterfinal will be held next Tuesday. More details to follow!
