On Saturday morning Cam Johnson ’08 was on the Arizona Cardinal practice squad. On Sunday afternoon he was back home in the DMV, in a Cleveland Browns jersey wreaking havoc on the Washington Redskins.
Cam Johnson grew up in Silver Spring, MD and played his college ball at the University of Virginia.
Here is the CBS headline from Cam’s impromptu “Homecoming Weekend”:
Browns’ Cam Johnson: Records two sacks Sunday
Johnson has four tackles (three solo), two sacks and two quarterback hits during Sunday’s loss to the Redskins.
Johnson was signed on Oct. 1 to fill Nate Orchard’s (ankle) roster void and he wasted no time getting involved in the action. The 26-year-old played like a disruptive menace Sunday, bringing down Kirk Cousins twice for a sack and hitting him on two other occasions.
