Gonzaga Football Alum Inspires Eagles in Florida

The following text was sent from Athletic Director Joe Reyda to the Gonzaga Faculty and Staff

This past weekend two Gonzaga alumni came out to watch the Eagles 31-19 victory vs Viera HS in Viera, FL. They both live in the Orlando area.

Bill Gates ’57 greeted the team at the Cocoa Expo [in Cocoa, FL] Saturday afternoon before they departed for the game:

Bill is a retired Army Colonel and was a member of the 1955 Championship Football Team. Mr. Gates presented Coach Randy Trivers a picture of that 1955 team.  He also joined the team after the game on the field [and gave these inspiring words]:
