@GonzagaHoops Reacts To Jenkins’ Game Winner

On Tuesday, April 5th, following Monday night’s historic finish to the 2016 NCAA men’s basketball tournament at the hand of Kris Jenkins ’13, head basketball coach Steve Turner was asked to react by about a dozen media outlets from the Washington D.C. area and from across the country.

Gonzaga head basketball coach Steve Turner was just as entertained as the rest of the world when Villanova’s Kris Jenkins sunk a buzzer-beater three to beat North Carolina in the NCAA Championship.

But he wasn’t surprised.

“I actually knew it was going down before he let it go,” Turner said.

Turner, who coached Jenkins at Gonzaga, knew his former player was fully capable of such heroics. -CSN
