Dear Gonzaga Baseball Alumni:
Our fifth annual Alumni Softball Game is set for Saturday, November 28, 2015, from 2PM to 4PM. The game will be held at the Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy, Gonzaga’s home field. The “Nats Academy” is a terrific facility. I think you’ll enjoy getting the feel of this new era in Gonzaga baseball that is centered at the Academy. The address of the field is 3675 Ely Place SE, Washington, DC 20019. The field is easy to get to and there is plenty of parking at the complex.
This is going to be a wonderful event to see you and many of your former teammates. A lot of Gonzaga alumni will be in town for the Thanksgiving holiday and the softball game is a great way to get together.
We will have plenty of refreshments (just in case you had a light Thanksgiving); a nice T-shirt memento, and most of all a lot of fun. Feel free to bring the whole family!
We would appreciate a $20 donation per family for the event with all funds going to the Gonzaga Baseball Program.
At the start of the event I will provide a brief report on the baseball program. We had a great 2015 season with 18 wins; advancing to the semi-finals of the WCAC tournament as well as winning the DCSAA Tournament against St. Albans at Nationals Park in a 2-1 thriller. We have a strong junior and senior class returning this year and expect to be in the hunt for the WCAC title once again. Several of our current players will be at the alumni game and I know they will enjoy meeting the “big names” from the past as well as catching up with former players from recent years.
Please let me know if you can make it by emailing me at email@example.com. You can pay upon arrival on the 28th. You can also send in the form below along with a check if that is easier. Thanks and I look forward to seeing you on the 28th.
